Energy Capital Credit Union Becomes Title Sponsor for Cy-Hope Sports Campus

Cy-Hope’s planned new sports campus for the Cy-Fair area officially has a name: The Cy-Hope Fields presented by Energy Capital Credit Union.
When fully built, the $5 million-dollar athletic complex will feature three turf baseball fields complete with LED lighting, concessions stand, restrooms, batting cages, and paved parking. The sports complex will serve as the new home for Dierker’s Champs. The Dierker’s Champs program for youth baseball players began in 2010 under the direction of former Houston Astros All-Star Pitcher, Manager, and Announcer, Larry Dierker.
“I can only imagine how our kids (and their families) will feel going from the best vacant lots we could find to a state-of-the-art complex”, said founder of Dierkers Champs, Larry Dierker. “Part of our mission is to instill positive values while we enjoy playing the game. The Houston based credit union, Energy Capital Credit Union, was awarded the title naming rights after the credit union and Cy-Hope agreed to terms on a multi-year sponsorship agreement worth $2million dollars. Energy Capital Credit Union’s logo will be branded on the front entrance monument signage with additional brand visibility located throughout the complex.

In addition, the ECCU Cares Foundation, our employee-run foundation, helps us align with organizations like Cy-Hope with the goal of making our community the best it can be, so when Cy-Hope presented this opportunity to us, it was one of the easiest decisions we’ve made. Cy-Hope also partnered with The Houston Astros Foundation on this athletic complex and plans to break ground May 1st at 11am cst. Cy-Hope plans to complete the civil and utilities elements of the project in July 2024, with the remaining construction of the complex starting shortly thereafter.
